I keep saying it...

A win is a win is a win. And it doesn't matter if your QB is Brock or Peyton. Every win is a step closer to the playoffs. Once you reach the playoffs, there is no limit to what can happen.

Mabye Peyton Manning's role this year is to do just what he is doing. Help the team to enough wins to make the playoffs, and then turn the job over to Brock Osweiler. As I wrote earlier this week, the end of a legend's career usually doesn't look very good.

However, if the team is winning, isn't the legend still doing his job? If he's getting injured, as older players are wont to do, at just the right times making way for the new guy who seems to be primed and ready to come in and do what it takes to make the team win, isn't that just as good as dozens of touchdown passes?

It is time to start to look at the Broncos as a Super Bowl contender rather than a team that keeps winning in spite of itself.

Peyton Manning has always been a winner, and his team continues to win.

And the players are winning accolades. For his performance stepping in for Peyton this week, Brock Osweiler has been named the AFC offensive player of the week.

Congrats, Brock!
