Tig Notaro has been a great comedienne for a long time. She gained more fame recently when she contracted breast cancer, and talked about it publicly on stage.

Louis C.K. posted it on his website, and talked about the brilliant performance with Terry Gross on NPR's Fresh Air.

Days after she was diagnosed, and she went totally improv about what it was like to hear that she had cancer. It affected a lot of people, and you can hear it here. Keep in mind, the audio from the standup is a little disturbing (which is what makes it so amazing).

In the bit, she says that

With humor, the equation is 'tragedy plus time equals comedy'. I am just at tragedy right now.

Many have long known that she was a great standup comic, and in this video she answers three questions posed to her by teenagers.
