After a Brighton girl was out for a week, she said she was denied access to the reduced and free lunch program upon her return.

The Denver Channel is reporting that a charter school in Brighton claims that her long absence disqualifies her from eligibility. But when her mom raised more questions about it, their answers began to become contradictory.

One person said that she lost eligibility. Another said they never deny kids the chance to have lunch. For now, the answers have not all come out.
