The Larimer County Coroners office has identified the two men from Thursday's shooting in southwest Fort Collins as 73-year-old Gene Kapperman and his grandson 26-year-old Brandon Kapperman. It appears that the incident occurred in the senior Kapperman's in the 6500 block of Thompson Drive, a dead-end road southwest of Trilby and South Shields.

A woman reporting the incident told authorities that her husband shot a family member and then himself.

Fort Collins police and investigators were at the scene most of the afternoon.

The coroner's office will conduct an autopsy on the men Friday to determine the exact cause and nature of each man's death. More information about the incident and what may have led up to it will be released following the autopsy.
