Bill Clinton made an interesting - and probably misunderstood - comment to a crowd of Hillary supporters in New Hampshire about 'sometimes' wishing they weren't married.

"Sometimes when I am on a stage like this, I wish that we weren't married," he said, according to several reporters at the event in Hudson. "Then I could say what I really think."

Before introducing his wife, he added: "I don't mean that in a negative way. I am happy."

The awkward comment came the night before Hillary's square-off against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in the New Hampshire primary.
