Mark you calendars for June 24. The day has been designated as Bike to Work day in Greeley and they will even provide breakfast.

Sounds like a great idea; leave the car at home and take the bike to work. It's great exercise, you'll save money on gas and even help the ozone in the process. The Bike to Work day will be on Wednesday, June 24 and breakfast stations will be set up in Greeley, Evans and Windsor between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. which include:

  • 37th Street & 17th Avenue - Village Park/Evans
  • 9th Street & 9th Avenue - Lincoln Park/Greeley
  • Reservoir Road & 16th Avenue - UNC Alumni House/Greeley
  • 16th Street & 17th Avenue - NCMC/Greeley
  • 16th Street & 35th Avenue - Bittersweet Park/Greeley
  • 10th Street & 38th Avenue - Ride Greeley/Greeley
  • 16th Street & 47th Avenue - Aims Community College/Greeley
  • 20th Street & 61st Avenue - Farr Library/Greeley
  • 5th Street & Main Street - Spokes/Windsor

Due to all the rain though, check their website (linked below) to make sure the trails you might be using and breakfast stations will be open. As of now, the only station that has been closed is on 59th Avenue in Greeley.

With over 85 miles of bike trails in the Greeley area alone, there is a trail for everyone. Click here to see a map of the trail system, and even if you can't take advantage of the Bike to Work day next week, make time this Summer to get out on the trails with friends and/or family and take advantage of them at your convenience.
