Beyonce on Fake Pregnancy Rumors: ‘It Comes Along With the Job’
All those media sources that speculated that Beyonce‘s pregnancy was fake, thanks to what looked like a collapsible belly when she sat down for a TV interview, which led to speculation she was using a surrogate to birth her Illuminati baby, guess what? You didn’t upset the singer. She was not frazzled by all the ridic claims about her spawn. It was her mother Tina and sister Solange who got bent out of shape over it. For Bey, mean rumors go with the territory of being a celeb.
In her GQ cover interview outtakes, the ‘Single Ladies’ singer said, “I felt like I kind of had to protect my mother [Tina], because when people made up the silliest rumor about me not really being pregnant, she was there when I went through all of those things. And my sister [Solange]. They were very, very defensive. It’s not personal to me, and it comes along with the job, but the lack of respect — people will just go too far sometimes.”
People did say some heinous things about Blue Ivy, but it didn’t put a wrinkle in her mother’s fabulous life. At all.
Mama Bey also recalled the birth of her first child, saying, “When I gave birth, that was the first time I truly let go and surrendered. And it taught me how amazing that feels.”
She also shared that the experience strengthened her on multiple levels, saying, “Giving birth made me realize the power of being a woman. I have so much more substance in my life. And expressing that excitement and that sensuality and the connection I have with my husband — I’m a lot more comfortable with that now. I actually feel like my child introduced me to myself.”
And as for the alleged lip syncer’s relationship with Blue Ivy’s daddy, rap mogul Jay-Z? She terms their romance as one of “natural chemistry” and “genuine,” and that it works since she was an independent woman before she met him and therefore does not rely on him for anything. Bey is so about the girl power.
“It’s based on the things that relationships are supposed to be based on,” she mused about the marriage she is normally so tight-lipped about. “I’ve seen, growing up, when a woman or a man in a relationship — it doesn’t matter which one — doesn’t feel confident, they feel a bit trapped. Your self-worth is determined by you. You don’t have to depend on someone telling you who you are.”
