Ben Affleck, along with a couple other celebrities, has committed to living on $1.50 per day for 5 days. It's the Live Below the Line challenge, and represents the fact that more than 1 billion people live on less than that everyday.

According to ABC, in 2010, Affleck founded the Eastern Congo Initiative, a U.S.-based advocacy and grant-making organization that provides economic and social development opportunities for the people of Eastern Congo. He is taking the challenge to call attention to the plight of people in that region and beyond.

But this is not going to be any walk in the park. It will be difficult, and could even be dangerous.

According to livebelowtheline.com/

“We recommend that you spend your entire budget of $7.50 at the start of the week. We recommend doing research and creating a shopping list, sticking to generic staples such as pasta, lentils, rice, bread, vegetables, potatoes and oats.”
Would you be up for such a challenge?
