I was born and bred here in Colorado. I grew up in Longmont, graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins back in 2003, (Go Rams!) and have been working in radio here ever since. I have a wonderful wife, two pembroke welsh corgis, and a daughter that came into this world in 2012. I love being a part of this Northern Colorado community and all that it has to offer. I have a penchant for hot wings, scooters, super heroes and all things ‘geeky.’ But I'll try just about anything to keep life exciting. (Except for seafood. Never liked it, never will.) Words to live by: "If you can laugh at yourself, you'll never cease to be amused.”

What Do Bedbugs Look Like? Do We Have Them In Fort Collins?
We don't have a huge bedbug problem in Fort Collins, but that doesn't mean we're immune to them. In fact the 'Great Sofa Round-Up' at Colorado State University came to a halt, partially because of people's fears of bedbugs.
I know every time I travel I'm terrified of finding bed bugs. In fact, we checked our sheets 3-4 times a day on our recent trip to Florida just because of our paranoia. On that trip I realized that I had no idea what I was even looking for. Other than...bugs.

When you drive by the intersection of Harmony and Timberline in Fort Collins your eyes are drawn to the decrepit, pink farmhouse on the northwest corner. It has been vacant since 2005 and become more of an eyesore every year.
Good news! The Coloradoan is reporting that it will be gone and a new building in it's place by December of 2014.

Where Can I Legally Shoot Off Fireworks In Colorado?
If "lighting off fireworks" means using bottle-rockets, mortars, roman candles, Black Cats, fountains and the like, than the short answer is "nowhere."
According to Colorado law the only fireworks allowed for personal use in the state cannot explode, nor can they leave the ground and fly through the air. Firecrackers, rockets of any kind, and mortars are also illegal everywhere in Colorado. On top of that, many cities in the counties in the state have even more strict rules, some going so far as to ban all fireworks.
