On Monday night (June 22), the Aurora Borealis, better known as the Northern Lights, was visible throughout Colorado, and they are expected to return. Strong geomagnetic storms are being credited for the Northern Lights to be seen as far south as Aurora Colorado, according to Channel 4 in Denver. Forecasters were not expecting the lights to make it as far south as Colorado originally. However, with many Colorado residents getting amazing photos of the Aurora Borealis, and another predicted storm for tonight (Wednesday, June 24), forecasters are not anticipating a repeat of Monday nights events.
