A new Gallup and Healthways survey ranks Fort Collins No.3 of the best places in the nation when it comes to well-being.

Boulder and Provo-Orem, Utah, topped the list.The rankings were released yesterday and are based on a 2012-2013 survey of 189 communities across the U.S.

Over 178,000 people were interviewed for input on physical and emotional health, work environment, financial security, healthy behaviors and access to basic necessities such as shelter and food.

This is the sixth year that Gallup released the rankings.
