Annie Lennox’s Daughter Rescued in Kayaking Incident – Boyfriend Still Missing

A two-person kayak is not the easiest thing to maneuver, especially if you aren’t really experienced at it. Add the fact that neither of the two were wearing life-jackets, and you have a recipe for trouble.

On Saturday morning (August 8, 2015), Annie Lennox’s daughter Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann (22) and her boyfriend Ian Jones (32), went off in a kayak that they had either borrowed or taken without permission.

From reports, it sounds like they took the kayak out onto the Hudson River at 9 a.m., from a private resort in Staatsburg, New York; but by 9:30 a.m. they were both in the water after the kayak capsized.  Tali was rescued by a passing boat at 9:50 a.m.; Ian was not found at the time, and is still missing as of Monday (August 10, 2015).
