Who did you think would get eliminated from the ‘American Idol‘ competition tonight? Holly? Colton? Phillip? How about… nobody. That’s right. This week, ‘Idol’ judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez saved America from themselves by rejecting the vote to send Jessica Sanchez home.

After it was announced that 16-year-old Sanchez was at risk of leaving the competition — Elise Testone and Joshua Ledet were saved from the bottom three – the judges decided to play their one opportunity to save a contestant. In an unprecedented move never seen before on ‘Idol,’ all three judges took to the stage while Jessica sang her final song. She was barely one verse into ‘Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here’ by Deborah Cox when J. Lo walked right up and grabbed the microphone, yelling, “Gimme that mic!” Jessica hardly had time to react before J to the L-O was singing with her, and telling America that they blew it by voting her off.

“This girl is one of the best singers in america,” shouted Randy Jackson, before reminding the crowd to “Vote for the best!” All three judges were obviously shocked and displeased with the result, but Sanchez herself was very humble. “I don’t expect anything. I just do what I do,” she told Ryan Seacrest. “I just want people to know that I’ve been working my whole life.”

She’ll get to work hard at least another week on ‘American Idol’ now that she’s safe. It looks like we’ll be seeing the Top 7 perform all over again!
