The latest edition of the American Idol auditions have reached Denver today. Today is the day to register for the auditions.

Hundreds, if not thousands have made their way to Invesco At Mile High Field to start their quest for the 11th season of American Idol Fox 31 reports on the scene.

Hundreds of people lined up overnight outside Invesco Field, nearly all of them hoping for a shot at becoming the next "American Idol."

Producers of the show are in town for Season 11 auditions that take place at the stadium on Friday.

But registration opens Wednesday at 7 a.m. It will go until about 8 a.m. Friday.

Here's how it works.

Auditioners register and receive wristbands. Then they're asked to return to Invesco Field at Mile High by 5:00 a.m. Friday. See more information here.

17-year-old Brie, from Castle Rock, was the first person in line. She arrived with her mom at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. "We didn't sleep," she said.
