A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Denver may be in the running as a possible second location for Amazon's headquarters. But while we wait to see if that pans out, we can look forward to the company's Treasure Truck rolling into Colorado on a much sooner date. Amazon created the treasures concept in early 2016, and since then, Denver is the 25th city to get its very own, colorful truck. But what is it and how does it work?

The folks at Amazon start by hand-picking their favorite new, trending, local, or delicious items to stock the Treasure Truck with. Then, these products are offered at a discount to those who order through the Amazon app, and come pick to them up during certain hours at the truck's location. This happens three to four times a month, and users who subscribe to get notifications through the app will be alerted about that specific day's offers. Shoppers who order an item but don’t show up to pick it up in time will get the order automatically cancelled at the end of the pickup window schedule and won't be charged. Some of the treasures that have been offered in other cities were Sony Bluetooth headphones, porterhouse steaks or salmon fillets, and a DeLonghi 15-Bar Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker plus Happy Belly coffee for just $59.99. You can find Treasure Truck in the free Amazon app by tapping on the main menu, clicking "Programs and Features" and tapping "Treasure Truck."

Denver's Treasure Truck is expected to be in town by the end of this week, however they are keeping the exact location of where it will be parked a secret until the first day it arrives.
