Recycle Everything You Can Everytime You Can

Obsess Over Disposal!

I've got good news and better news. The good news is there are so many places to recycle recyclables that even if one isn't right in front of your face when you have a plastic bottle or metal can to dispose of, you're bound to run into one very soon.

The city of Fort Collins has these sharp solar compactor/recycle centers all over town, and as the importance of recycling becomes more and more known, other towns, businesses and organizations have followed suit.

What we want to accomplish here is to send less and less waste to the landfill. Many of the waste disposal sites that we use in Northern Colorado are very advanced, sanitary landfills.

The Denver Arapahoe Disposal Site that Fort Collins Waste Management customers use is converting methane gas created by the landfills into power.

Good things are happening with regards to our landfills, but they can't do it without our help.

Our Green Tip of the Day

Recycle - Every item, EVERY TIME. Never put recyclable plastic, metal, glass or paper in the trash again. If there is nowhere in front of you to put your recyclable material, HOLD ON TO IT until you find one. Trust me, it won't take long.
