OK, so the actual Record Store Day is in April, but this Black Friday, our Northern Colorado record shops are celebrating their own Record Store Day for local vinyl lovers.

FORT COLLINS:

When your city only has one record store, they kind of get to call the shots. Bizarre Bazaar, an independent used book and record store now located on College Ave. next to iHop, posted the following deal on its Facebook page:

Because small independent record stores like ours never get the "goodies" (that we pre-ordered for the event) and because the event is mostly a financial loss (if you follow the record store day rules), WE WILL INSTEAD PUT OUT OVER 500 RARE GEMS AND OUT-OF-PRINT RECORDS WE'VE BEEN SAVING FOR JUST THIS EVENT and THE REST OF OUR USED VINYL AND CD COLLECTION WILL BE 20% OFF. (Click here to see full post.)

LOVELAND:

This Black Friday you can head to Downtown Sound on 4th Street for, what the store's Facebook event page says, 'exclusive Record Store Day albums, singles, and EPs.' Event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Note that its regular inventory ain't too bad... (new and used)
