An arrest was made after the Saturday night shooting that went down in Loveland as a result of a disagreement.

Fort Collins resident Thomas Collins, 33, was arrested for shooting a 39-year-old male victim during a disagreement in Loveland, after which he left the scene, the Coloradoan reports. Collins allegedly traveled to the Sweetheart City with 24-year-old Angelique Smith to confront the man, when he shot him at least once.

The victim was found by responding officers with gunshot wounds, and he was transported to a hospital to undergo surgery. His condition is unknown but he is now recovering.

Both Smith and Collins were in the vehicle when contacted by police as they fled from the incident. Collins was arrested on suspicion of attempted first degree murder, first degree assault, and possession of a weapon by a previous offender, as well as on an already existing warrant for his arrest on unrelated charges.

Collins is being held at the Larimer County Jail as formal charges are pending. Smith was also arrested and taken to the Larimer County Jail on an unrelated drug charge.
