All Veterans Career Fair at Sports Authority Field August 27

A major challenge that many of our veterans face after returning home from deployment is being able to find a job here, where they can continue to work to provide for themselves and support their families. To make it easier on those heroes who have served our country, DAV is hosting an all veterans career fair on August 27, 2015 at Sports Authority Field in Denver.

This FREE hiring event is happening from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and welcomes U.S. military veterans, transitioning military personnel, members of the National Guard, Reserve members, and military spouses.

According to the Labor Department, out of the 21.4 million military veterans, only about half, 51.3%, are employed. Two organizations DAV and RecruitMilitary, are coming together and working with companies who understand and appreciate the discipline, focus, motivation, and work ethic that is forever instilled in people who have served in the military, in order to find them a satisfying position in the workforce. Besides just job opportunities, there will be continuing education options available, as well as business ownership opportunities.
