Adele Awarded One of the Highest British Honors

Adele was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. This ranking was bestowed upon her by Prince Charles, who stood in place of Queen Elizabeth, who normally endows the honor.

The distinction is one of the highest a British Citizen can attain. According to Wikipedia, it is one of 5 high honors.

The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is an order of chivalry established on 4 June 1917 by King George V.^[1][2] The Order is composed of five classes in civil and military divisions. In descending order of seniority, these are:
