Adam Levine might be adding to his acting resume! Apparently, ‘The Voice‘ coach and Maroon 5 frontman is slated to star in his first movie, a drama called ‘Can a Song Save Your Life?’.

MTV notes that Levine will have a pretty stellar supporting cast, including Keira Knightley, Hailee Steinfield and the newest Hulk himself, Mark Ruffalo.

In the flick, Knightley plays an aspiring singer who moves to New York City with her boyfriend and fellow aspiring musician, played by Levine, so they can both chase their dreams of musical stardom. Levine’s character dumps Knightley to go solo in every sense of the word, leaving her on her own in the Big Apple — where she gets discovered by Ruffalo in a bar.

This will be Levine’s first time on the silver screen, but he’s been a small screen regular for some time, having coached two seasons of ‘The Voice’ on NBC. Levine is also signed on to star in the next season of the creeptastic Ryan Murphy vehicle ‘American Horror Story,’ playing one half of a duo called ‘The Lovers.’

“He’s a sexy guy, so he needs to play a sexy guy, but a guy that is different than who you think he would play,” Ryan Murphy said of Levine. “I pitched him the part and he listened slack jawed and simply said, ‘I’m in.’ The second season [of 'American Horror Story'] is fun, sexy and baroque. It has a lot of meat to it. It’s a really gritty part.”

It’s unclear when production on either ‘Can a Song Save Your Life?’ or ‘American Horror Story’ will begin, as Levine’s currently on tour with Maroon 5 in support of their newest release, ‘Overexposed.’ His coaching duties may also delay any potential filming, as he’s back for the fall season of ‘The Voice.’
