This Marie Forleo video is perfect to start the week.

What better way to kickstart a manic, or manically depressing Monday than to remind ourselves that really embracing the little, boring, unsexy, humdrum tasks like getting the kids back to school, ourselves back to work and everything else back on schedule and to bring real enthusiasm, love and passion to everything is the best way to find our way to what we want. Hey, we have to do these things anyway. We might as well make them awesome by bringing real enthusiasm to them.

A wise man once said, "'This isn't it!' Is it". We are always looking to the moment we aren't in. We always look ahead to the next goal.

The message is, the journey to achieve the goal is the thing. We journey to the goal. Achieve the goal. Then what? Next goal, right? The great feeling of achieving that goal is short. The journey to get their took forever. It  seems like it would make sense to just immerse ourselves in the journey.

All his life has he looked away. To the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. What he was doing.

Yoda

Marie, reminds us, as did Yoda at 2:17 in the video, that the best way to get to where we want to go is to be where we are.

It's a sentiment that is echoed in the start of another 21 day meditation challenge that Oprah and Deepak Chopra are offering. I have yet to finish one of these, but I'll try again. Maybe more practice of finding stillness, staying in the moment will yield a little more perfect. Or at least more practice.
