I used to work at a restaurant that had .99 cent Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) on tap. This means you could always get a beer for a buck, but it was PBR. I would convince patrons to give it a try and add a lemon. This was when the wheat beers were just catching on in Fort Collins and seeing beer served with fruit, was new and exciting. So, if you must drink a cheap beer, try adding a lemon and putting it in a glass, you might just find it tastes less like jet fuel.
