A small plane carrying two people crashed Monday morning into Culver Reservoir southwest of Berthoud and north of Longmont at around 7:40 a.m.

UPDATE: The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has just updated the condition of the two men.  

Loveland Fire Rescue Authority and Larimer County Sheriff's Office responded to assist dive teams.  Dive teams entered the water at 8:03 a.m. and removed two adult males who were then transported to an area hospital.  The two men were in the water for a total of 50 minutes and were declared deceased at the hospital. Their identities have not been released.  The FAA and NTSB will investigate the incident. 


You could see the tail of the plane sticking out of the water. Several emergency personnel responded to the crash site where the cause is still under investigation.
