The strange consistency of canned cranberry sauce has caused me to never try cranberry sauce. It has never crossed my lips and I'm not sure that it will. As we talked about cranberry sauce here and on the air, Melissa was kind enough to offer up her recipe for us.

Here it is!

Cranberry-clementine sauce

serves 8-10

2 clementines

2 pkgs. 12 oz. each fresh cranberries

2 cups sugar

Cut clementines in half and leaving on the skin, slice as thinly as possible.

Place in a saucepan with the cranberries, sugar and 1 1/2 cups water. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer

and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool before serving.

I also add 1 tblsp. of cinnamon to add extra flavor while it is cooking.

Hope you like it !
