Things may finally be warming up down here in Northern Colorado, but you can still hit the slopes in the mountains.

Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin), located in Summit County, is currently the only ski area open in Colorado. While it planned on shutting down the lifts for the summer season on Sunday, June 8, due to the amount of recent snow (read: rain here in Fort Collins), you can still ski and ride.

According to a news release, A-Basin will be evaluating snow conditions all week to determine if it will extend its open season even longer. Though it is closed during most of the week, it will be open Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14.

If you do head up to shred up, be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen, or you'll be starting off your summer by baking at 13,000 feet.
