600 new jobs could be headed for Fort Collins soon!

According to an article in the Coloradoan, Comcast Cable Corp. will bring a customer care call center to Fort Collins that would create more than 600 new jobs for the area.

John Lehmann, who is the Senior Director of government and regulatory affairs for Comcast outlined Comcast's plans to an email that was sent to Mayor Pro Tem Gerry Horak. The emails are public information and are available to view at the city's website under the Colorado Open Records Act.

Additionally, it appears that the new call center for Comcast will be located at the Hewlett-Packard campus off of Harmony Road. Comcast would be able to qualify for more than $8 million in tax incentives if they can provide 635 jobs with an average wage of $44,421 annually.

The formal announcement will be made Thursday at 10 a.m. at Galvanize which is located at 424 Linden Street.
