On a recent trip to the Fort Collins-Loveland Farmers Market, the smell of roasted Hatch Green Chiles permeated the air. Yes, that time of the year is here!

I had my first taste of a Hatch Green Chile in the Summer of 2015, and fell in love with the taste and uses of them very quickly. We even had a Hatch Green Chile taste test in 2015 to see if we could handle the different heats that come with it.

Not surprisingly, I didn't fare too well in this challenge and felt the heat on my lips for quite a long time.

 

But even if the heat from the direct exposure to a green chile knocks you out, there are still many great recipes that you can utilize this Colorado favorite in.

Even something that all of us love, DESSERT!

After I did a little research, I found these five desserts that have the green chile as a main component. I must say, they sound awesome!
