I grew up near an Indian reservation and my memories of the prideful celebrations full of music, color and dancing, is something I cherish. It's fun for me to introduce my kids to some of the Native American culture that is a part of my upbringing and our history.

The 25th Annual Spring Contest Powwow and Indian Art Market is coming to Fort Collins the weekend of April 8th and 9th. It will once again be held at the Northside Aztlan Community Center.  The public is invited to experience the Native American cultures through a kids area, food, arts vendors, and music, dancing and singing during the intertribal dancing”. 30 different tribes will be represented. The theme this year is “Honoring All Sisters – Our Women”.

Saturday, April 8th, 2017 from 1pm to 9pm and Sunday, April 9th from12 noon to 5pm at the Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 Willow Street in Fort Collins, CO. There is limited seating, but you are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs.

Ages 13 and older - $6.00/day or $10.00/weekend; Children 6-12 - $3.00/day or $5.00/weekend; Children 5 and under – Free.
