This year's Pooch Plunge was paws-itively adorable, as dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds took over City Park Pool on Sunday afternoon for the annual event that marks the closing of the location to humans for the season.

With yesterday's temps reaching the high 80s, it was the perfect chance for pups to cool off by splashing around in the pool, which was also filled with tons of tennis balls and even had doggy lifeguards on duty. The Pooch Plunge is put on by the City of Fort Collins Parks and the Recreation Department, who, along with Dog Tales Activity Center, Friendship Hospital for Animals, The Larimer Humane Society and Guardian Pet Aquamation, had booths set up around the pool for guests to check out. The first 400 humans through the gate received a free doggy gift bag that included treats, dog waste bags, coupons, and a magazine filled with tips from CSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Check out some photos from the day in the gallery above, and be sure to share your own with us in the comment section too!
