18-year-old Suspect Arrested in Loveland Shooting Death Case
Yesterday, September 4, 2019, a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in Loveland around 1:00 am. 18-year-old Gabriel Jesus Romero Ventura of Loveland has been arrested and is charged with the following:
Assault in the First Degree, a class 3 felony.
Manslaughter, a class 4 felony.
Prohibited use of weapons, a class 2 misdemeanor.
Ventura is in the Larimer County Jail.
The Loveland Police Department received a call of a person being shot at a home on North Duffield just after 1 Tuesday morning. When officers arrived, they found the victim dead. Officers located the 18-year-old male suspect a short time later. There is no current threat to the public regarding this incident as all parties have been identified.
The two teens knew each other, according to the release.
