While the National Guard Search and Rescue evacuated homes in Lyons after the floods last month, they needed help from the Larimer Humane Society to rescue 111 rabbits. The rabbits had been living in a home with Katherine Von Meister, who has been charged with 111 counts of animal cruelty. The charges allege that Von Meister failed to provide adequate care for the animals in her possession.

Here's a quote from The Loveland Reporter Herald:

"The conditions she was keeping the animals in were harmful to their health," said Stephanie Ashley, marketing and community outreach manager for the Larimer Humane Society. "She was keeping them in conditions that were not adequate."

9 News has a video of the bunnies and I warn, they are adorable.  They need homes, you in?
